GanttChart.com (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) is operated by KIDASA Software, Inc., makers of Milestones Professional. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, why, and what your choices are.

We aim to be as plain about this as we can. If anything here is unclear, contact us via the KIDASA contact form.

What we collect

Automatically, when you visit any page:

  • IP address, browser type (user agent), referrer URL, and timestamp — recorded in standard web server logs.
  • Information about which pages you visit and how you arrived — collected by our analytics provider (Google Analytics 4).
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to (a) make the site work, e.g., caching cookies set by our CDN, (b) measure aggregate site usage, and (c) detect malicious traffic.

Only if you contact us:

  • Whatever you share directly (email content, message body). We don’t operate a contact form on this site — please use the KIDASA contact form — but if you reach out, we’ll keep the correspondence as long as needed to respond and follow up.

We do not collect:

  • Comments or commenter data (comments are off site-wide).
  • Newsletter signups or email addresses (we don’t run a newsletter).
  • Payment information (we don’t sell anything on this site — visit kidasa.com for product purchases).

How we use it

  • To operate the site, including caching, security, and serving content.
  • To understand which articles are useful (page-level aggregate analytics — not individual user tracking).
  • To detect and respond to abuse (login attempts, automated scraping, etc.).

We don’t sell personal data. We don’t share it with advertisers — this site has no ads.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for:

  • Essential operations — caching and session management.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and related cookies to measure aggregate site usage. You can opt out via Google’s opt-out tool or by using a browser that blocks analytics.

Your browser also lets you delete or block cookies. Doing so may limit some site features (caching may be less efficient), but you can still read every article.

Links from this site to external pages (including kidasa.com, YouTube, and the various tools discussed in articles) operate under the privacy policies of those destinations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we have about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that data.
  • Opt out of analytics tracking.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we don’t sell, but you can confirm).

Data retention

  • Server logs: retained approximately 30 days for security purposes.
  • Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months).
  • Correspondence: retained as long as relevant to the conversation.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be noted on the site.
